You Guide Me When I'm Lost Ch.6 [Horuss x Reader]

You put your hand up to your lips.

You could still feel the warmth that had been there moments before.

“But… w-what about Rufioh?”

The question hung in the air and you were too afraid… or maybe ashamed… to even look up and see Horuss.

“I-I’ll just go…”

You stood there for a moment, hoping, wishing, praying that he would try to stop you, or even say something, but it was as if you were the only one in the room. You glanced up at Horuss and saw the horror in his face. He was in love with Rufioh, how could you do this to him.

I’m the worst person ever, aren’t I?

His face was deep indigo and he was sweating, but you could see tears in his dull white eyes, and he looked so damn upset, so betrayed, that you just had to abscond.

Tears formed in your eyes, and flowed freely as you ran out the door, through the hall that usually made you giggle, but now just made your heart sink, and straight out the front door. Your eyes had been closed and blurred the whole time and as you practically sprinted out the front door, you opened your eyes to find yourself running straight into a tall red blob.

“Whoa, you okay there doll?”

He had his arms wrapped around you protectively, holding you up. When he saw the tears in your eyes, his ever-present smirk immediately morphed into an expression of concern.

Before he could ask any questions, you shoved him in the chest and ran in a random direction. Anywhere was better than there.

“Just… JUST END IT ALREADY!” You shouted at him as you ran, not bothering to look around and see his expression or hear his reply, and not caring either.

You were sitting in a room that was part your old one, from before the game, and part [your land]. You were lying on your bed, face in your pillow, and crying your heart out. You had been lying there for a few hours.

knock,knock,knock

oh Gog, no one is coming in here, nope is what you would have thought if you were able to think anything even semi-coherent through the depressed haze in your head.

The knocking was becoming slightly annoying, but you couldn’t bring yourself to get up and answer the door.

You wandered who was on the other side of the door.

Oh Gog no.

“I KNOW YOU’RE IN HERE!!”

There was concern in her voice, sure, but the only reason you could see for her being here was to chew you out and reprimand you for your… actions.

“[NAME] MOG PURR-LEASE COME OUT WHERE ARE YOU?”

She had been in your house before, but the layout had changed dramatically, probably partly due to your not exactly wanting to meet with her.

“PLEASE.”

She said it loudly, but not in a shout, more like her own speaking tone. She wasn’t even using a ridiculous cat pun, meaning you knew how serious she was.

You sighed and shuffled over to your locked door, opening and unlocking it.

“Can’t be helped, I suppose.”

You saw an olive-green blob slumped at the end of the multi-coloured hallway through your still-tearful eyes.

“I’m here, Meu.”
